I hope that everyone got through the last lot of bush fires safely, as I know there were some rather worrying moments for some.

Our Christmas meeting is upon us next month, so don’t forget our huge Christmas raffle, our major fund raiser for the club. Anything you can donate towards the raffle will be gratefully accepted. The announcement of our junior article competition winners will be held on the night as well. With two winner’s one boy and one girl, hopefully other junior members may be motivated to have ago next year.

This year has flown by and let’s hope now that the elections are over, that generally peoples anxieties are put at ease and things go back to some normality. Bush fires have raised their ugly head with bad fires in our local areas already. One can only hope that all our members and indeed everyone are safe from this menace.

Bird breeding is underway with many people reporting a good start to the season. Don’t forget junior members, there is only a couple of months to go to get your articles together for the possibility to win a prize at our Christmas meeting. As per usual, I am asking for you to put pen to paper and give me some articles. Big, small, an epic novel or just some photos, anything will be taken and appreciated.
